Commonly reported issues for Google Groups

Editing a page multiple times results in the page getting locked for review

Previously, making multiple edits to a page in a single session could result in the pages feature being locked for review. Now, users are asked to simply fill out a CAPTCHA to prove that they are humans in order for the pages feature to be unlocked.

Starred topics are not removed from Favorites list after deletion

If a user "stars" a message, and then that message is deleted, the user will still be able to click on a link to that message in the "Favorites" section; however, the message will be blank. The link should be removed from the Favorites section as well.

My Subscriptions page not loading

We have received reports of users being unable to open/reach http://groups.google.com/groups/mysubs . This issue does not appear to be affecting all users. We are looking into the issue to determine the cause.

Long threads spawn new threads on reply

We are aware of an issue where users replying to long threads (1000+ posts) will have their replies generate a new thread. We are working on a solution for this issue.

Loss of groups subscriptions

We are aware of an issue where users are losing their subscriptions to a large proportion of the groups they are subscribed to. We are investigating the situation. In the meantime, there is nothing preventing users from re-subscribing to these groups.

Commonly reported issues for Groups Search

Deleted Usenet posts are appearing in Groups Search

We are aware of an issue where Usenet posts that users had manually deleted in the past are again appearing in Groups Search snippets results.
