Subject: January boundary walk
Posted on behalf of Martin Swan, who did the walk on the 31st Jan

very little to report ... as mentioned before visibility was poor,
possibility of large herds of giraffe grazing on the newly emerging
silver birch
in the way of fencing issues, rust is getting quite noticeable between
6 and 7, particularly 4th course up
there's a point at the bottom of the slope down from 6, reaching the
beginning of "rotten bottom", where the wire is slack mid-way up. Just
a minor issue, could be fixed with a wooden spacer
travelling down the very steep bank from 10 to 11 there are several
loose posts - I'm ashamed to admit I only noticed because I took a
tumble and grabbed one ... I think i may not have been the first! Once
again, nothing serious or liable to immediate deterioration, probably
OK for another 10 years ...
It's a long walk on a windy winter's day - good thing there was a
fence to follow
