Malcolm, re the brewery at Amersham, have you thought of phoning Barbara?
She may well know something useful, and maybe Linda has not had time to read
this letter yet; anyway, she would have to write a note and send or take it
to Gerrard's Cross. Just an idea. Dianna

Dominic,
I understand your concern as I am a member of a residents association
fighting similar developers.
I have no knowledge of the ?covenant but there are a couple of places you
might look.
Such covenants should be found on any land registry documents. You can
search on-line at http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/ . There are tools to help
track down the land registration number of you do not know it.
I understand that all the documents from the Weller brewery are in archive
at Benskin's Brewery who bought the Weller brewery in 1929. It may be that
the relevant documents are there. I would like to see them but have never
had the time.
I have copied this to others in case they can help.
Regards,
Malcolm Weller.

Dear Mr Weller
I hope you can help me.
I live in Old Amersham where the Town Council has decided to develop the
land currently occupied by the 61 Youth Club. A number of residents have
claimed that this land was left to the Town Council by the Weller Brewery on
the grounds that it was used for recreational use. I have done a lot of
trawling through the internet but can find no evidence of this; are you
aware of anything being drawn up please?
We are trying to oppose the building work but seem to be fobbed off by the
council at every step. There is precious little green land left in the area
yet they seem determined to concrete over a part of that which remains.
Thank you for your help.
