Q: Help! I lost a sticky note

A: Don't panic! There have been two bugs (now fixed I believe) where
under certain circumstances, a note can go missing. First of all, try
and recover your data. Try adding another note and then click on the
close icon whilst holding down ctrl-shift. This will dump out all
available note data to a blank page, enabling you to get to your data.
Secondly, try and recreate the problem. Post back here with as much
information as possible e.g. What browser, how many instances of the
gadget you are using, any javascript errors or useful info.

Q: Why only 50 notes?
A: There was once a limitation on the amount of user prefs the Google
Homepage API would let you store - so once the gadget was limited to
10 notes. This has been changed to 50 in v3.0!

Q: Where can I find out more information?
A: Visit my site at www.bonstio.net or visit the Google Code project
homepage at http://code.google.com/p/webstickiesmod/

Q: Why are there adverts in my gadget all of a sudden?
A: Developing and maintaining this gadget takes quite a bit of time.
If you'd like to show me support you can choose to tolerate these
ads :) An advert is displayed just once per day every n days where n
is governed by how many notes you use. You can of course turn off
these adverts in the gadget settings.

Q: How often are adverts displayed?
A: It depends how many notes you use. If you use one or two notes, the
will be displayed once every couple of weeks. If you use 50 notes,
then they may be displayed as ofter as every day. In any event, an
advert is only displayed for one page load so clicking on it or
refreshing will dismiss that ad until it is next scheduled to appear.

Q: How can I turn the adverts off?
A: From the gadgets settings change the "Support Bonstio" option to
"No way!". No more adverts will be displayed.

Q: How do I add the developer gadget?
A: The developer gadget is a google provided gadget which amounst
other things enables you to not cache specified gadgets i.e. get the
latest version every time the page loads. Add the gadget at
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?root=/ig&dpos=top&num=24&url=devel...
and untick the cached checkbox for the Web Stickies Mod gadget.
