Subject: Reduce electricity consumption after working hours
I have always wondered why commercial properties are fully lit after
working hours, is it for the cleaners (so that they can clean
properly), security of the premises? I have never got the answer or
justification for this. It is such a shame that we are trying to
tackle global warming but people can’t find ways to minimise
electricity consumption after working hours. People running a business
and using any commercial space should be responsible to minimise
electricity consumption after working hours – ye I know few companies
have policies to switch-off monitors/pc’s after work, but what happens
to all the lights that are left on for more than 12 hours.

Regards,
Jatin
