How long does it take BT to un-DAX a phone line?
How long does it take BT to un-DAX a phone line? A friend wants to get onto broadband - and the availability checker on IDnet site says there is an "incompatible product" on the line. BT have confirmed that it is DAX. How long does it usually take to remove?

0141 404 6322
Does anyone know who the provider of this number may be, or where I can find it out? I'm interested to know if this is VoIP or some third party.

cost of 03 numbers
I want to work out which number is cheapest to call if a helpline has an 03 and an 01 number. I'm on Virgin Media. Is the cost of calling an 03 number *exactly* the same as calling an 01 number?

If I set up a legitimate premium rate number, set that as my Paypal/Ebay home then use their automated system to confirm it, keeping the phone off hook as long as possible when the automatic all is made, how much money could I make in a day? LOL... more »

Can 0800 and 0845 see withheld numbers?
Can companies which have 0800, 0844, 0845, 0871 numbers see a caller's number even if it the caller withholds it?

Who is best for free re-routable numbers?
For years I had some Flextel 0870 numbers but I didn't use them much. After some changes in the regulations this summer my 0870 numbers don't work. What is a decent (and free) replacement for those numbers? Who is the good alternative to Flextel for such numbers?

Siemens S450IP
Anyone know what to change in any browser to gain access to the web interface to configure it? Whatever firmware is running on this phone doesn't like IE8, Firefox, or Chrome and I find myself unable to get to most of the settings as all the menus are missing. Am remote from the handset too...
