  Well, CO2 is pretty unreactive, so it may well work for what you want. &lt;br&gt; But if you&#39;re going to all this trouble of building a strand burner, &lt;br&gt; why not just pressurise it with nitrogen? It really isn&#39;t all that &lt;br&gt; hard to do.
