Gordons route is a good one. Slightly shorter would be to park
at Bowden Bridge near Hayfield and follow the William Clough
route to Ashop Head and then it's just a short pull up onto Kinder
and an almost level walk to the Downfall. There's a fairly obvious
and well-worn short-cut back West down the ridge to the north
of Sandy Heys, but watch your knees.
