More Boura bullshit being put around is it - "Central Government Statements?" - because I can't see much else that reeks of the usual sanctimonous CCBN way of doing thing here [ a few more readings might throw up other issues though].
Don't worry about it for the present, I'm not. These people will destroy themselves in the end, I just hope they don't take the whole of naturism within the UK down with them.
Take notice especially of the description "UK" that I used here though, because our nation is actually formally known at both the United Nations and the European Union as "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".
Therefore, by calling itself The Central Council for British Naturism, British Naturism, or whatever marketing title Welch has come up with recently to justify his £50K a year, it is actually insulting to Irish people because they are not British.
Of course, the organisation doesn't condone discrimination though, and keeps telling everyone that, it just uses discrimnatory words in its name :-(

Organised naturism within the UK is on a one-way trip to oblivion and has been for some time. The decline of BN is more a symptom of this than a cause. It has simply become irrelevant to modern society.

Talk about nit-picking! If it was an Olympic sport you'd be the gold-medal winner.
(And when are you guys going to learn to snip posts?)

Ireland is part of the British Isles, so the Irish are indeed British, but only NI is part of Great Britain, which is probably what confused you! You're easily confused though, aren't you? You still haven't been able to tell the difference between the president of BN and the SW Rep, the latter being the lady you saw at Speilplatz.

I think we know therefore where you stand then on the non discrimination issue, and it seems to be firmly with the discriminators.
Northern Ireland is part of the UK but is not part of Great Britain. Which bit of that statement do you not understand?
Or perhaps you want an IRA member wearing a "three hole" balacalva to chuck a petrol bomb at you to remind you of the difference? :-(
Not exactly naturist behaviour, but potentially justiiable.
> I think we know therefore where you stand then on the non > discrimination issue, and it seems to be firmly with the > discriminators.
You don't know where I stand on the "non discrimination issue" because I've never said. Just because I criticise you for being a bore on the subject doesn't mean that you know where I stand on the issue!
> Northern Ireland is part of the UK but is not part of Great Britain. > Which bit of that statement do you not understand?
Though NI is part of the British Isles. I suppose to you *any* organisation with "British" in the title is "discriminatory". Organisations such as the BBC, British War graves Commision, British Council etc. etc. etc.
> Or perhaps you want an IRA member wearing a "three hole" balacalva to > chuck a petrol bomb at you to remind you of the difference? :-(
By the time that they've chucked bombs at every organisation with "British" in the title they'll have run out long before they get to me.
> Not exactly naturist behaviour, but potentially justiiable.
Now I know exactly why naturism is declining so fast, it has people like you in it.

What a shame I didn't realise that at the time otherwise I'd have given her a far more aggresive verbal assault than the one I was thinking of giving to that illiterate Russel woman who can't even work out how to reply to e-mails (although her predecessor, John Paine, couldn't even manage replies to letters on pieces of paper, soperhaps I shouldn't be so hard)
I take it you're referring to the Stinchcombe woman who recently took her seat on the gravy train and shortly afterwards admirtted at
that CCBN clubs discriminate on "status" grounds by writing: "I am looking to put out a local ‘what’s on’ in some of the postcodes where clubs are struggling, this may just raise awareness and increase numbers. Not all the clubs want me to do this; they want to keep control on things like –gender and status."
A clearer cut admission that CCBN's largest Region (in terms of membership) are a bunch of discrimiatory shits couldn't really be found could it?
So she knows what's going on, she keeps it rather quiet by not reporting it to CCBN's ruling junta then turns up for free at a non- CCBN club's open day and hangs something around her neck which say's "Hey, look at me, I've got status". If I'd been on the gate that day (and I have before) I'd have told her to FOAD.
What you wrote is almost in fact unbelievable. Pete, get a life and stop sucking the arses of these CCBN nobodies would you! Let them destroy their own reputations without dragging you down with them. in fact you'd probably fail Stinchme's suitablity test anyway - she and her cronies would probably class you as a "builder".

Seymour Kuntz possibly? He, apparenly, is actually an American gynecologist according to a Google search I've just done! My niece may know him professionally too, because she's a midwife so will have seen plenty of Kuntz herself. I'll have to ask her.
But wait a minute, and let's get serious now. Didn't Bob Caldwell use Seymour Cox to bulk up his letters column back in the 1970s when he edited BN and contributions were a bit thin? Maybe this is a serious naturist in our midst who's been around for a bit. It could be a rather witty piss taker though, we'll have too see I think.

My goodness, what bile filled post from an anally retentive moron!
You quite obviously have no idea where the SW Rep stands in regard to BN matters, indeed anyone that stands for office, in your book, is tarred with the same brush. If you had kept abreast of matters within BN, instead of wild guesses, you'd know that a group, let's call them the 'New Wave' are attempting to bring a fresh new perspective to BN, and I'm happy to give them the same chance I gave the BNchange crowd.
Don't expect to be taken seriously, not with your ignorant rants anyway!

It may seem like that from here, but I challenge you to walk in to a bar in Southern Ireland and tell them they're part of 'Britain' or 'British'! On a recent tour of Ireland (Eire), one of the things which struck me was the prominence of 'war memorials' to Irish peopr killed or imprisoned in 'The Struggle' to gain independence from 'The British'. (IMHO the trobles in NI aren't over, just dormant for the time being). -- Duncan Heenan

Oh there's no doubt that the British Empire will have to live with the legacy of it's past wrongs, and hatred will survive through many more generations to come, but fortunately not all Irish feel that way. I had no problem with telling an Irishman, that as he lives within the British Isles he was British, just not a citizen of Great Britain, which he accepted. The Canadian was another matter, he didn't know, and wouldn't accept, that the Queen is Canada's head of state, even when I provided the evidence and others backed me up. Some people are so up their own arse that hey can't see the light of day.
Funny how the colonialists were seen as rebels back in the 50's, but they saw themselves as freedom fighters trying to rid their country of the invaders that we really were. In Singapore the colonial history is preserved, yet in neighbouring, and larger, Malaysia there is much less to see of the colonial past.

Nope. "Great Britain" is the largest of the British Isles, ie. Mainland England, Scotland and Wales. So NI *isn't* part of "Great Britain". It is, however, part of the United Kingdom, which Eire isn't.
> which is probably what confused > you!
Seems to have confused you too!
Coming back to Rebustion's original point, applying the term "British" to an organisation that covered the UK and Eire might be seen as insensitive, even if geographically correct. Applying it to an organisation that covers the UK is par for the course, there must be hundreds of such organisations. For Rebustion to argue that it is somehow "discriminatory" for BN to do it (but not the BBC apparently) just goes to show that Rebustion has lost all sense of rationality in his hatred of BN.

And the "new wave" will run into the stone wall erected by the "old guard" just like John Paine, Duncan Heenan and Reg Barlow did (although they didn't do themselves many favours either by ignoring letters and e-mails from members). Michael Farrar and his crowd of muppets will continue to profess that they represent all naturists when they don't, and no progress will be made at all.

Michael Farrar and his crowd of muppets will continue to profess that they represent all naturists when they don't, and no progress will be made at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I can not speak for the others named, but I did not 'ignore' any letters or emails from members when I was Treasurer. A number of members, and clubs did not respond to correspondence from me; and worse, a number of EC members also ignored correspondence from me.
As a result of a complaint I made as an ordinary member, and had upheld, earlier this year, against Michael Farrar (BN Chairman) for not answering legitimate member correspondence, the following BN Policy document was quietly approved. It can be used by any member who is unhappy with EC members for not answering correspondence;
"QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS
Questions raised by members will normally receive a response within 10 working days. There may be occasions where the workload required is unduly lengthy or the information requires detailed research. If in the opinion of the General Secretary or Chairman the question does require additional time or would have an impact on the ability of staff to undertake their normal workload, the question will be acknowledged giving an estimate of when a reply can be expected and will also be referred to the Chairman or President for consideration.
If a member is concerned or the Chairman is unhappy about the situation then the matter will be raised formally at the following EC meeting. As a matter of course all questions to which a response given under the above guidelines will be reported to the following EC meeting as the question or responses given may well be of more wider interest. It must be noted however that some matters may be confidential and that at no time should a member of the EC disclose any confidential matter to any other person. Any breach of confidentially will be treated as a serious disciplinary matter."
This may be of no help to 'rebustion' (aka....), as it was passed after his problems, and applies only to questions from BN members. Though it is usual civility in properly run organisations to respond in some way to non-members, there is no obligation to do so. In any even it has to be remembered that, still, a number of the members of BN's EC are profoundly stupid, and appear largely ignorant of civilized behaviour. -- Duncan Heenan

AKA "Such a dear man" Duncan. Your challenge now is to find out which doyenne of UK naturism called him that and at which club!
Incidentally, if people are too illiterate to reply to letters can they really be relied upon to read and understand BN policy documents that haven't been explained to them slowly with the use of pictograms? I think not. It will just be business as usual and "awkward" questions will still get hidden under the carpet.
> snip< >AKA "Such a dear man" Duncan. Your challenge now is to find out which >doyenne of UK naturism called him that and at which club!
You must be careful, 'rebustion', in claiming the title 'Such a dear man', as for many years lots of people have been calling Andrew Welch 'Such a dear man', too. And since his increase in pay on 1.1.10, to £50,000 a year, and decrease in workload was announced, he's even 'dearer'!! ;-) -- Duncan Heenan

No, at £50k pa Welch is "A very dear man!" (and also a c**t, who probably wouln't fit in at our place anyway) :-)
