Apparently my SOBMW isn't just any old SOBMW...
|
| |
It's a Met-spec bike. I got the R80RT MOTed on Saturday somewhere it hadn't been MOTed before [1]. The tester really seemed to know his stuff, which is a pleasant change, and talked knowledgeably about the Harley[1], the Zed[1] and the Beemer. Seems he worked for BMW in the late 80's, when they supplied the Met... more »

Helmet fun (I blame Lozzo)

As is typical, cleaning the visor on my Quantum e just before I jumped on the bike this evening, I managed to snap the side-plate-pod-thing off breaking 2 lugs off. The visor will stay in place when shut or half open, but comes detached on that side when fully open (which seems to happen a lot as I often open the visor in low light or traffic).... more »

Transalp or TDM?

He's in his early 30s and has had no experience with motorcycles so far. I realise that most of you have had your licenses for decades but if anyone has any good recent experience with a school or any... more »

[link] "The pretty women of Paris are the subject of a new guide book but it has some feminists up in arms." Question: Is it a requirement that "feminist writers" have to be complete munters, or is it just a coincidence?

Back in the Swing [RBR]
|
| |
Got eight today - clockwise loop of East Anglia. Lots of shiny old bikes out, and cars. 370+ miles on the Blackbird hurts more than it does on the Wing. <goes for a soak in the bath> Details to follow.
