BT effing broadband speeds

A friend in Retford with a Plus.net account was getting 6
to 7 Mb speeds.
Last week it suddenly dropped, and BT speedtester shows
consistently 800 to 900k
BT Fault checker says there is no problem, your line is
rated to 500k, so your speeds are within limits. If you
want to pursue it then BT will charge £169

How much notch is a 'notch'?
I have a very slight hesitance for the bars to turn from dead ahead
(can't feel anything whilst it's being ridden) . You can feel it as the
bars pass the center point.
Is there anything I can do to mediate this in the short term?
I really only need about 4 more months out of this bike, and I'll be sad

2003 R1 was first fuel Injection, Earlier original carb model is much more
fun.
lots have experienced front end crash, so check all mounts on headlights
(usually glued back together) as the lights hold the whole
front fairing on.

35% since last year - up to 116.20 the cheeky gits.
Rang them and pointed out that I've not started using it as a courier or
stunt rider in the last year, I've not moved to Iraq or added nitrous
oxide.
Reduced it to 93 - so still dearer, but better than 116.

Now I remember why I don't change tyres anymore. I decided it was better
to take the 21 inch Metzeler MX tyre off the spare wheel I obtained for
the Old Gimmer's Hillclimber rather than just cutting the hub out. Don't

All my fettling and carb ultrasonic cleaning on SWMBO's Honda 250 has
been rewarded with an Ebay selling price of £600 (pretty close to your
estimate TOG). A shame I have to hand over the proceeds as I just found
where I can get an oversize front brake disc and caliper mounting
adapter for the "Old Gimmer's Hillclimber".
