For those that know me, and that isn't a lot on here at the moment, I have just handed in my notice at work.
In 4 weeks I will no longer be working nights, shifts or weekends, clearing up after the bloodshed in Manchester over a weekend and not having to deal with patients [1]. Instead I will be doing mostly 9ish to 5ish [2] and playing with a couple of macbooks [3] and getting to see a *lot* of student nurses jumping up and down.

It will be. I have about 2 weeks left of shift work (just days though) with most of next week off and the last week of my notice being a holiday. Some of that will be from 8am to 8pm but those will be the last of the long days.
I am looking forward to coming into work at about 9, but probably more like 7.30-8 (but it will be my choice and not dictated by somebody else) and then leaving anywhere between 2 and 5.

What I haven't said in here is that I am still technically a nurse and the new job will still require me to re-register my nursing qualification every year as if I was still working in theatres.
All I am doing now is teaching, going to the odd cardiac arrest [1] and playing with something called a meti man [2] and the 2 mac books that are going to be used to program them.
