It's much more common these days. Many of the people who are successful in MMA circles are quite technical fighters who have an almost scientific approach to their training.

You may say that, but I suspect it's more down to Rocky Balboa single handedly dismantling the Soviet Union in Rocky IV.

I'm not sure how you made the leap of logic from "intelligent, eloquent" to Sly Stallone!

Give them time, a few intercranial bleeds and a subarachnoid hemorrhage or two, and they'll be slurring more than Darsy after 10 pints of Chimay.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Malc <malwh...@blueyonder.co.uk> saying something like:

Ali was, too. I don't recall him getting many bangs to the napper, so the Parky's may be entirely unrelated, but it doesn't take many of them.

The biggest reason I wanted to watch the fight on Saturday night was because he comes across on tv as an amusing sort of bloke and I really hoped he'd beat the commie.
It wasn't the most exciting of fights but nowhere near as boring as yesterdays mgp after the warm up lap was done.

The F1 has definitely triumphed over MotoGP this year.
I still need to watch yesterday's 125 race. Helpfully, not only did the BBC make sure I knew the 125 result when I sat down to watch the MotoGP race, they also showed the last lap on their Extra prog on the red button.

Aye, I saw that too.

She's one of those women IMO where sometimes she looks like I wouldn't want to touch her with a bargepole, but other times she's is damned hot, so it's worth looking in on the One Show regularly just to check.

You're playing russian roulette with that one. Think about it: you're making a withdrawal from the wank-bank, just reaching the vinegar strokes and all of a sudden Christine's gone and you're shooting your muck to the gurning mug of Adrian Chiles.
