No hand holding, but you could follow me and then be awarded a slower than ginge number when eventually you arrive, a week late.

Unfortunately, the last couple of kilometres of that route follow the circuit[0]. And this year they're (allegedly) using the "original" circuit[1], so a serious bit of detouring could be in order.

Unlikely, unless it's in the wee small hours when other objectionable cnuts take over.
UKRM at that stage are already trying to get their beauty sleep.

You could always meet me at the port and ride in, but since this is not a TOG tour, with all ferry tickets prebooked on the same boat it's highly unlikely we'll see each other before either the hotel or the circuit.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

heh.
Mind you, do you know how many people were died from radiation after the 5 or so original fire-fighters snuffed it? Zero. Do you know how many 'additional' cancers have been attributed to it in Ukraine? Zero. Do you know how many defects have been found in animals in the exclusion zone? Zero.

In summary, 28 people died from acute radiation syndrome in 1986, and increased cancer mortality due to radiation exposure may eventually reach 4000. I cba to look for figures specific to Ukraine or animals in there, but you might find them.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Wicked Uncle Nigel <w...@wicked-uncle-nigel.me.uk> saying something like:

Imo, it's still too soon to draw conclusions like that.

If you buy that line, you're swallowing the nuke lobby's gropapanda.

Did you get the email I sent you? I cc'd Adie and she claimed it never reached her so if you didn't receive it either I'll get it sorted.

Actually, I got it all from a Horizon programme.
The think is, the graph of radiation vs cancer risk is all derived from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As the doses there were high, there was no data at the low doses end - the working assumption has been that the relationship can be extrapolated in a straight line down to zero. The Chernobyl data is suggesting that below a certain threshold, the impact is in fact much lower. -- Champ I don't know, but I been told, you never slow down, you never get old ZX10R | GPz750turbo | GSX-R600 (race) neal at champ dot org dot uk

That doesn't quite tie in with the maps that I've got access to. They show areas that had zero background radiation before the fuck up still have background radiation present today. Nobody knows what the long term effects are and that's why farmers still aren't allowed to keep animals on that land.
