So that last couple of bends between the village and the sheds is now a 40 limit? I'm not worried because I never obeyed the 60mph limit before and you might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb.

Yeahbut, I've always knocked it off generally in 40s and 30s, previously.
The trouble is, these creeping bloody speed restrictions are making a mockery of the concept of appropriate limits and policing by consent.
Increasingly these days, I just ignore speed limits (most seem entirely arbitrary), keeping my eyes open for cameras, suspiciously parked vans and the odd rare jam jar.
Fuck 'em.

Pretty much what I do.

I can't see how anyone would ever get anywhere if they didn't. I think that with the current obsession with speed limit creep, limits like that need to be regarded as guidance, not an actual limit. Sadly the enforcement nazis don't see it that way, but a limit that's not enforced isn't a limit anyway.

In this case you had a village with a 40 limit that would have been a valid 30 limit so I always obeyed it and then spot of NSL with some nice bends before you returned to a 40 (may have been 30) limit before you hit the outskirts of the town.
Those last couple of bends were full on, gloves off, give it hell bends that I always nailed the bike through and now they're coming the cunt.

and the stupid fucking speed limits they expect me to obey.

If you're going to ride like that, you definitely want your gloves on :-) -- Champ What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger ZX10R | Hayabusa | GPz750turbo neal at champ dot org dot uk

Pretty much exactly my attitude, right down to the expletive. 10 years ago I respected 30s and 40s, but nowadays they are taking the piss with them so much I consider everything fair game. -- Champ What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger ZX10R | Hayabusa | GPz750turbo neal at champ dot org dot uk

York police are having a game on the A64 right now. In 20 miles of dual carriageway they have deployed a video transit van, 4 marked Volvos, 2 marked bikes and an unmarked dark blue Volvo. Yes there are some utter twats there every day but most of the carnage, and it is weekly, is being caused by cunts going far too slowly, causing a lot of last minute lane switching.
I was hoping to stay under the wire, I use the road at least 3 days a week, sadly I've been marked out on the bike and the Saab and I'm having to be ever so fucking careful, although TBF I enjoy the game.
