Ted Moult's last words (Everest Double Glazing).  "Shut the window Ted and
see if you can hear this bang"!

Also one of our local rags used to run an anagram quiz, with the name of a
celebrity used for the anagram.  One night the clue was "I'm in a crate" the
answer was Marti Caine, she had died the day before!
