  Do you guys generally have compression before or after distortion? &lt;br&gt; I was putting the compressor first, but having read something on the Keeley &lt;br&gt; site I swapped it around - I really like the way is makes the distortion &lt;br&gt; rock solid, but not what it does to the noise floor. &lt;br&gt; I am officially stuck on the fence with this one. I want to restring my other guitar with the &lt;br&gt; same brand and gauge but... well, I know the gauge from a micrometer &lt;br&gt; (10-49s) but not the brand. The only distinctive feature is a red &lt;br&gt; covering over the strings beginning about 1 1/2 cm from the ball end.
