"on way from gym. costa 3pm?"

"I'm at home this weekend so I'll keep an eye on it"

"fish and chips or have we got food?"

"do you need me to play anything specific on 'harmony'?"

A selection of messages from the in- and outboxes on my phone. This is
pretty high-security stuff, as you can see! Now, I'm as concerned about
government access to personal data as anyone else, but I'm not sure that
the context-free trivia of the average 160-character SMS is the most
important place to start ;-)

(And yes, I know I shouldn't reply to trolls and spammers, but these
things often amuse me)

Interestingly, the orignal posting never got to me - my isp seems
to have cancelled it...mebbe the men in black suits are already at work
in this newsgroup...

Mobile phone calls and sms messages have been routinely monitored for years,
there was a paper on the subject on an EU technical committee website a
while back.
