Anybody got a version of this on their website?

I'd be very interested to hear it if you have.

Thanks.

Got an eye to Remembrance Sunday? :-)

The full 18th-century lyrics (which are interesting - I'd only ever
known the first verse) are on Wikipedia at
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_British_Grenadiers#Lyrics>, and from
that page there's a link to a RealPlayer (.ram) file of it being played
by the Canadian Grenadier Guards at
<http://www.collectionscanada.ca/obj/m2/f3/10399.ram>.

I wasn't joking - I was smiling.

I'm all in favour of Remembrance Sunday;  by focussing on the
far-too-many individuals involved, it is more likely than most such
events to remind everybody of the horrors and futility of war, and the
young men and boys who were sent off to die deserve not to be forgotten.

Here's a version via Babelfish:

British Grenadiers

Is some talk of some, and Alexander aircraft;
More harm from Isander, such big names as such.
All the brave heroes in the world, which can not be compared
With Qatar, and the implementation of the death penalty, executions,
The death sentence on British Grenadiers.

Those heroes witnessed ne'er league ball defender,
Or known of the powder to discount the story.
But the boys did not know the courageous, and the elimination of all fears,
Qatar singing, and the implementation of the death penalty, executions,
The death sentence on British Grenadiers.

Whene'er a leadership storm barriers,
With the leaders / Fosis, and we with a hand grenade. ,
Threw it around the slope of the enemy "and the ears of Qatar
Singing, and the implementation of the death penalty, executions,
The death sentence on British Grenadiers.

When the siege ended, and the city, and reform cry village,
The children cheered, And here comes grenadier.
Here comes Grenadiers, and the boys, who did not know doubts or fears,
Qatar singing, and the implementation of the death penalty,
The penalty, and sentenced to death by a British Grenadiers

And let us fill the models, and the drinking of Health
Carrying bags and hats and clothing, loupèd and clothing;
The leaders are happy living each year,
With Qatar, and the implementation of the death penalty, executions,
The death sentence on British Grenadiers.
