I'm a big fan of his work, and was wondering if anyone knows if/when 2 of
his most recent shows will air here.

I'm referring to 'Over There' and 'Commander in Chief'. Anyone know if
they've been picked up for the UK?

As mentioned in a previous post, rumour has it we may finally get to see the
rest of NYPD Blue on More 4 in 2006.

Philly (starring Kin Delaney) is repeating on Sky One starting January.

Hill Street Blues is ruinning daily on More 4.

All in all, Bochco fans are having a failry good time of it at the mo.

Fred.

Keep in mind that Bochco took over CinC with episode #8. Before that,
creator Rod Lurie was in charge.

So, presumably we'll have a president who will end every White House
briefing with the catch phrase "Let's do it to them, before they do it
to us" ... just like the real one.

The latest episodes of CinC I have seen are damn near identical in tone
(washy liberal, high moral gorund) to the earlier ones.  I am not sure how
much of himself he will put into the project.

Nobody has bought CinC yet - and given ratings for West Wing I doubt anyone
will until they practically give it away.

Over There is on Sky One from 17/1

Talking of Bochco - I see nobody would touch Blind Justice over here.  Man
that was a stinker.  Almost as bad as his novel.

Well, whaddya know....'Over There' starts Jan 17th on Sky One according to
Digiguide. Hope they give it a bit of publicity. Also found this:

Sky One nabs Bochco drama 'Over There'
April 12, 2005

LONDON -- Sky One has picked up hard-hitting Steven Bochco drama "Over
There" from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, it was announced
Monday. The deal was announced jointly Monday at MIPTV by Sky One and
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. The drama series looks at
Army life in wartorn Iraq and will debut on Sky One in the fall. It will
debut in July on the FX Network in the U.S. The U.K. deal follows an
announcement that "Over There" will debut in the international markets
exclusively on pay TV. Other pay TV operations that have signed up include
Sky Italia, Premiere in Germany and Canal Plus in France. The series was
sold on the basis of a pilot script written by series co-creator Chris
Gerolmo. "Over There" is the third series Sky One has picked up from FX,
with other acquisitions including "Nip/Tuck" and "Rescue Me." Recently, the
Five channel picked up "The Shield" from FX. "I'm grateful to Sky One for
their faith in 'Over There' and grateful as well for the support I've
received in the U.K. for my earlier shows," Bochco said in a statement. "I'm
hopeful 'Over There' won't fall short of expectations." British viewers have
long been fans of the Bochco style, with such shows as "Hill Street Blues"
and "NYPD Blue" garnering loyal audiences and strong ratings. (Mimi Turner)

Cheers,

Fred.
