Subject: OT - F1 filth
I have just read this on the BBC's website:

"Charging Button first used persistence to take Romain Grosjean on the
outside...before eating up Kazuki Nakajima...and then quickly setting about
Toyota's Kamui Kobayashi."

Well, really!  I shall be writing a stiff note to the DG, I can tell you.
Bringing this filth into our living rooms...

I think you've probably misunderstood. No idea what a "Charging Button"
might be but would suggest Kenton ?

I'm afraid I saw neither qual. nor race, but I generally find rain makes
for more interesting; of course, I don't wish them any harm, so the
cancelling half way through of one of the races earlier in the season
was fair enough (you couldn't see a thing, it was pouring so much), but
a little rain makes for IMO a little variety - apart from crashes and
mistakes, the race is rather often won on pit strategy, which is a pity.

I've occasionally wondered how deep one would be in it if one had a
driving licence made up with SM's name on it, to hand over if one ever
got that line - you'd hand it over with a sort of shuffled "er, well,
actually ..." - followed by the real one, of course. One would hope that
the copper might smile, but these days I fear they're not allowed to, or
something. (And no, I've not been pulled up for speeding.)

I quite agree about a little rain - the sort we get in this country can add
an interesting challenge to a race.

But the downpour during qualifying on Saturday was in a different class,
with visiblility approximately zero, and the track awash. And it's been
laike that during the Brazlian GP in recent years.

Yes, it was like that in one of the actual races early in the season - I
think it might have been the Malaysian one. They stopped it, though
after half of it, so half points were gained.

Coming in late, and ignoring the main point completely - that's a rather
bizarre looking keyboard layout, with the * on the 3 rather than the 8,
and a ç above the 4 - and it must be modernish to have a €, and yet it
is on the E, and it isn't French because it's QWERTY rather than AZERTY.
So where's it from?
