Traps: 38mm vs 76mm
Are there any situations where it's acceptable to use a bottle trap with a 38mm seal on a kitchen sink or do Building Regs always require a 76mm seal? Also, what's a "half trap"? [link] Isn't it either a trap or just a bit of pipe?... more »

solar powered air brick
A friend has made the following request elsewhere, and doesn't use newsgroups "we have a small larder at the back of the kitchen (it used to be the outside loo). Presumably a wall... more »

The central heating system is made of plastic pipes, aluminium radiators and a WOLF diesel boiler. All to a very high standard. It has been running well, from new, for about five years with plain... more »

Tool-Net
A couple of weeks back, Tool-Net was mentioned. I passed on the information from PowerTools and Fixings Direct (their sister company) that ToolNet were alive. This was and is (apparently) true. But there is a twist (which in hindsight is not very surprising). I went to PT&FD to pick up my studs, to meet some men loading the entire... more »
