Boiler scrappage scheme

Optimum Height Of Window Radiator 
  Prior to getting new windows in my Living Room on 11th Jan I am doing some prep work and am siting a new radiator below the window .I did try a 600 x 900 that I had for the other end of the LR but it was going to be too tall so I ordered a 500 x 1000 that arrived unscathed this morning ...well done to the Fed-Ex one man team who carried it on... more »

pressure fluctuations and boiler failure 
  When the Vokera man serviced my old boiler I asked him what conditionthe 20 year old heat exchanger was in. he said it was fine and he told me the usual reason the heat exchangers failed was because of pressure fluctuations gradually causing metal fatigue as the thing flexed. OT T reg Escort will not start 
  Relatives under serviced basic petrol T reg Escort starts sometimes but not others. Not seen it yet. Apparently turns over and sometimes catches and sometimes not. CH boiler starts but stops 
  I have a Baxi Bahama 100 CH combi boiler. Last week I selected manual on, and the pump started, then it fired up .. all sounded fine. It ran for 10 secs and then shut down.
