Fitting a monopitch roof with wet bedded mono pitch ridge tiles - you
know, the ones shaped like a number 1. They will be on top of a cavity
wall. I cannot find an example of how such a roof is detailed at the
ridge.
At the eaves, the rafters will be birdsmouthed onto wall plate on
inner leaf.
At the ridge, how is the rafter fixed to the wall ? Presumably a wall
plate on the inner leaf, and a birdsmouth at the top also ? Then bring
the outer leaf right up under the mono ridge tile ?
Is there a diagram of this anywhere on the net ?
Thanks,
Simon.
