Go on, our central heating system is ready for a service.
What do I ask the gas safe registered people?
how much it costs? (Obvious question ...)
(And what if it needs something replacing, I assume I'd need to
compare how much their rates are for things)
Are they all much of a muchness or is it worth asking if they deal

I cleaned my Indesit s/steel hob yesterday and it took me ages
,including removing a couple of jets to clear water out of them . I
ended up covering the central area with tinfoil to avoid having to
clean it again . The knobs on the hob have lost their shine so I was
loking for replacements and was shocked to see the price of them

OT: Any e-Commerce experts out there?

My loft conversion now has the insulation in place therefore I called
in the BCO to give the ok to fit plasterboard. Unfortunately the usual
BCO did not come. The lady BCO who arrived had a new idea that was not
mentioned before which is to fit internal railings around a window
that opens on to a flat roof.

Supplier and type of hinge for glass overlay doors?

I've taken out a chimney breast, ground floor only, had steels made
and installed to support the existing load and have rebuilt a false
chimney breast (out of studwork) around the steels to house a 50"
plasma, a base unit for A/V components and a long alcove shelf above
(to house DVDs).
I want to cover the DVD alcove with a long single pane of smoked glass

Hi Everyone,
I appreciate this is somewhat off-topic but I've had good PC related advice
before on this forum so I was hoping you'd be able to help me with this

I am using a NAS for storing all my media files (photos, DVDs, music etc)

Does anyone know where I might pickup a cheap built in electric oven
in Newcastle? Byker seems to be street when it comes to such things
but not so much for the fitted variety. I have an image in my head of
a heap of built ins waiting to be scrapped, with no one to care for
and keep them warm on these dark cold nights. Where are they?

Tenement properties but I live in one and this thought came to me

I'd like to use some foam around a plastic downpipe, where it goes
through a flat roof, but don't want to stick it in place. Can anyone
recommend a suitable release agent to coat a piece of pipe with and
mould the whole through the foam while it sets?

I intend to put strip wood around a door frame edge instead of the 1970s
quadrant bead which has long since been junked.
But the wall that this will butt up to is anything but flat - no I'm not
going to try reskimming!
Can I use decorator's caulk to fill a gap upto 6mm wide in parts and still
