I have a Lidl unit that measures how much electricity something is using -
it also measures the 'Power Factor'
My reading is that a Power Factor of 1 is good and 0.5 means it is using
twice as much electricity as it needs to. Am I correct?
I also read (I'm planning to give up reading) that you can adjust the Power

Right option. Put the amp as near the aerial as is convenient.
[link]
Click categories in the left hand menu, then see 250, then TV
NT
Thanks for that.

Two chandeliers, one small, one medium. At present they're on chains
from a screwed in hook plate, with a tin bucket rose over chocolate
block.
For easier cleaning I'd like to replace this with a slide-in
connector. Klik do their well-known one, there's also the Lewden
ceiling maestro that TLC sell.

Easy yes, but it will also _encourage_ corrosion. You're using an
acid process (it doesn't work without a splash of conc sulphuric acid
in there too) and this will lead to sub-plating pitting developing,
eventually breaking through.
If you want to copper plate, your easiest approach is often to nickel
