The standard deal here in the US is that you leave the porch light on if you're welcoming T&Ters, and turn it off otherwise. Didn't see any incidents of "foul play" either - oddly, the whole thing seems a lot more civilised than it ever did in the UK.

Maybe - and that's within their right, of course. But from what I remember of the thread, they didn't *tell* him they'd changed their minds, they just stuck a post in the ground such that he could no longer get his vehicle out, even though he would have been happy to do so and sort out alternative storage for it.
*that's* what makes them a bunch of utter fuckwits.

Well I don't recall him saying they did it without warning and I don't recall him saying he could arrange alternative storage either. He did say he could get it out by removing his wall and driving across his property.

well i deffo wouldent have deliberately left the van on the drive to be blocked in would i??
and i've always had alternative storage, at my parents house, which is where it's always been stored when i was not using it, the only reason it stayed at my home so long is our bouler in the house was fubar'd, we had a dodgy managment company who were not doing owt to replace it, so our only source of hot water was the motorhome (didnt even own a kettle then, do now but dont drink tea and coffee so it was only ever used to heat water when i couldent be arsed going and getting a bowl of water from the motorhome) also as our shower is mains fed directly off the combi boiler, the motorhome was our source of a shower without driving 20 or 50 minutes to our parents,
nextdoor put the post in place 2 days after we finaly got our boiler fixed (and they spent the entire time curtian twitching as the blokes were installing the new boiler, as it was moved upstairs, so new holes drilled in the wall), i had planned to keep the motorhome here for a little while longer so i could do a bit of maintinance on it, but then take it back to my parents place for winter storage,
next door also knew our boiler was broke in the first place, as the first bloke to come and look at it when to their house by mistake, a few days later nextdoor asked me if we'd got the boiler fixed, so i told em that we were having probs with the managment company, they asked how we coped for showers, so i told em the motorhome is totally self contained for heating, hot water, electricity and so on, so we use that,

To be fair, fireworks can be let off at the weekend closest to the 5th November.

You need to be careful with your neighbours. I have spent many a night in the cells after a punch up with the cunts that lived next to me.
I tried to have them evicted (council tenants) but it is difficult. In the end I was told that if I was able to put the neighbours in fear of living next to me the council would move them. 6 weeks into my plan the neighbours were gone.

Shame they didn't just go for an asbo banning you from the area.

Glad you don't live anywhere near me .... ever thought it was maybe you with the problem?

dennis doesn't have the ability to think outside the box that the state has imposed upon him.

Did you intend to leave my name at the top with nothing I said in the post?

Are you likely to punch my grilfriend in the face?

Yes, it is perfectly obvious where the *real* problem resides. ;-)

Perhaps we should apply for an ASBO banning him from uk.d-i-y.

I have no doubt that you would. You have a violent streak and then blame others for your problem.
In the event of a fight I will do whatever it takes to end it. There would be a serious threat to life and limb before I fought any one and I would behave as if there were. You on the other hand appear to just want to fight and appear to believe its OK to hit someone as long as they are male.

You have said that you would punch a woman in the face as they are equals.
