When on wireless I had 1 small TV in the notification area. When I first set up cabled LAN it turned to 2 TV's with a world hovering between. Now, after a week or so of being on LAN, it's just 2 TV's, no world. what should it be.

Hi, I recently removed my Belkin F5D7630uk4A router from my home network where Plusnet had been supplying the WLAN connection. This was exchanged for a Huawei HG520b with TalkTalk supplying the WLAN connection. It works fine. Two PCs, both connected via 100Mbps ethernet ports to a 4-port ADSL modem router for internet access, using DHCP. Both PCs are also linked by firewire using static IPs. How do (can?) I force file copying to be over the firewire network connection, rather than through the slower ethernet ports, which is what is happening ATM?... more »

Netgear DG834G router giving IP address conflict errors

Has anyone experienced problems with a Netgear DG834G V2 router giving "IP address conflict" errors on PCs that are given IP addresses by DHCP. It's a default setup (no IP address reservation, MAC address filtering etc). There are two PCs (both Windows Vista) which connect wirelessly, though sometimes the problem occurs even when only one PC is turned on.... more »
