I have two (and a dead one!), My RM came without any disks, so I can't
say what is on the restore set. However the Tatung (bought retail) came
with a two disk set. One is a straight XPTablet install Disk, the second
is a Utilities and Drivers disk.
The Omnipass fingerprint login app (and presumably the fingerprint
driver - although that is on the internet) are on the utilities disk
along with all the (then current) drivers.
As a piece of data I now run Windows 7 on my Tatung unit ( 1.5Ghz
Processor and 1.25G Ram) Its excellent The handwriting recognition is
much, much better than under XP. The only thing that doesn't work under
Windows 7 is the fingerprint driver. Authentec have not released a
driver for the AES3500 reader that is compliant with the new Windows
Biometrics (and as far as I can tell don't plan to).
Reply to should work.
