Neil

I have the disks shipped with a Tatung TTAB-A12D which is the RM 12.1"
Teacher tablet.

Will they be any use.

Its fundamentally a full XP tablet kit rather than a restore disk.

Which RM tablet do you have?

Regards

I have a number of various ones, the 910 and 912 12" models and some of the
10" ones too. Since posting I have managed to get a generic XP Tablet disc
set sorted out and installed on one so should be OK now. The only thing is
there is no software available for the fingerprint reader on the 12" ones,
is this on the restore CDs or just not used by RM do you know?

I have two (and a dead one!), My RM came without any disks, so I can't
say what is on the restore set. However the Tatung (bought retail) came
with a two disk set. One is a straight XPTablet install Disk, the second
is a Utilities and Drivers disk.

The Omnipass fingerprint login app (and presumably the fingerprint
driver - although that is on the internet) are on the utilities disk
along with all the (then current) drivers.

As a piece of data I now run Windows 7 on my Tatung unit ( 1.5Ghz
Processor and 1.25G Ram) Its excellent The handwriting recognition is
much, much better than under XP. The only thing that doesn't work under
Windows 7 is the fingerprint driver. Authentec have not released a
driver for the AES3500 reader that is compliant with the new Windows
Biometrics (and as far as I can tell don't plan to).

Reply to should work.
