Welcome to the Temporary Home of the Target Practice Clan for Rebellion's Sniper Elite We'll be here until we get a new domain sorted out - but as we're making use of the time doing a bit of housecleaning, we're in no rush to get the sit up and running just yet. You can read as much as you want, but posting is restricted to Clan Members and members of this forum. All the old features will eventually be transferred here. All the support and info which was available to both Clan members and our friends and regular shooters will still be available once we've found it all and uploaded it all again! Please do so in either self extracting .exe or as winRAR files and label them clearly and announce them in the discussion. If you have been playing Sniper Elite for a while now and want to experience the strategic, pulse-quickening, online aspect of it with a support and fire team, then joining this, or one of the man other Sniper Elite groups (or Clans) would be a good idea. You can find a list of Clans we're friendly with, along with ther contact and our rating out of 5 as to how easy it is to become a member or, in a few cases, even recognised by their glory on highest selves. If you are to join with the Target Practice Clan, you'll be given probationary dog tags p{Trgt} that you shall wear before your chosen name - remembering that Sniper elite only allows 14 characters for a nym and our tag is 5. 6 if you are a Probie - until we know you better and have played with / against you a few times or have fought a few duels with you. We believe that a person's value should not only be judged by their playing, though we do keep a high standard, but also by their general attitude towards both us and other clans. You won't get anywhere being a bully or by bragging about your playing. We only accept witnessed playing and screenshots of scores uploaded to this site, using the software with which we will provide links for you to download (FRAPS). There are several scopes and multiplayer skins to download as well as maps that list the sectors (handy for spotting and pinpointing bad guys in games, especially if you have yet to learn our names for each locale or sector. They are all based on "famous" London landmarks) and also the "no-cross" lines that we used to use. We've since decided that no-cross games are pretty much the same as going to the arcade and playing target shooting for rubber duckies - it takes away a major strategy element of the game and is, frankly, and once you've memorised the distances, rather boring... If No-Cross, pwr 10, Headshot only is your thing - you're definitely looking at the wrong group of people to play with! The Four F's:
We play as Snipers Only. If you want to run around with a machine gun, join another server or join our "Target Practice server". All weapons are active, but you'll get a suprise when you unload an MG42's clip and find it hasn't really hurt them. We play with Bolt-Action G-34 Rifles with low zoom scopes and power is always below 50. Not the Standard issue rifles in multiplayer that have ultra-zoom and can loose 5 rounds in as many quick clicks. We offer a few scopes for members that are upgrades for those used for the SVT and NAGAN in the files section for download. Instructions are included. Servers Our Servers are on GMT and usually found in the English Lobby. Though often also in the other European Lobbies, so they're easier to find! All games run for 30 mins or 75 points, whichever is first. The exception being "Target Practice" which is 15 mins and 51 points. 1 point per frag, -1 for a teamkill or suicide ("Learning to Fly" or" Playing with Explosives" or being on the receiving end of a remote detonation, caused by impact, which scores 0 for the person responsible. Sadly... Get a screenshot if you can! Open Server All our servers use slow scope change, so search with your eyes, for movement, muzzle flash, people standing too close to walls (allowing the rifle to been seen through) or scope unless you know you're safe! Custom Binos are available.
One which has Arcade rifles, high sniper power, and are your basic point and click adventures. Usually named Target Fun. The other is a games we've been trying to play (Don't forget: Give the other clans the password if it is a protected game! Nor to leave Exfil ON!): {Trgt} Hostage - often closed, but sometimes open. If open, expect the new guys to not know the rules unless they've played before. Like [ECS]Matwyrk or ~iSF~Altair, etc... The idea is, as an assassination game (maps and graphics will be downloadable soon for this) and it's the opposite of Assassination. The Germans must fan out and find the Russians first - they must kill at least one before the VIP is a target - and the Assassins must simply protect the VIP. It doesn't score the same, but we have a way of scoring too. {Trgt} Safehouse - again, often closed but can be open to rival / friendly clans or unknown players if you feel like it's getting old. I can't remember the last time we played this or if anyone does anymore... Objective is: 15/20 min time limit, Assassination game. VIP is NOT killed ever or if he is, the safe house is in a different part of the map to the Exfiltration Zone. The Germans must hold the sector / building / area (Like Waterlow Park in Highgate) until the time runs out. If the sector or building is taken, a new one is selected (from the advance list, closer to the German Spawn and back to the Russian, etc...) or the other team try to retake. The winner's score, including getting extra points for having captured and re-captured, holding a position, is decided by adding these factors to the game score. So it needs to be a realistic figure that means there can always be a comeback! Sniper / Bodyguard ratio, respawn, weaponry and power are all the same as {Trgt} Hostage. Start a discussion if you're interested in playing either of these again... Hostage was a fun alternative to Assassination Clan Matches and Duels If you want to participate in a duel, ensure that you have the password set so the other person knows it. Abide by the rules agreed between you both and please try to use the M-34 Rifle, not the SVT or Nagan. Make sure, if you're in a duel, that you set the password to be different to the Clan Match password. Unless you want some target practice too! Matches are weekly and times can change depending on who's around. If you can't find us in the English Lobby, try the French or German. Matches usually start between 1900-2100 and run until we quit. . Some days there will be a server for most of the day, running different games depending on the skill of the players (poor players = easier game... Increase the power for them.) All in all, have fun! Files and clan mods are being uploaded as we get on with this site and, depending on reception, we may make this a permanent home - any comments? Don't forget to add your "Hall of Shame" Pics! All point blank head shots welcome but please keep them small and host videos at another site, linking to them. Top 3 scores from matches will be added up and counted toward your rank in the clan, please keep them organised - only the three you want to submit. So keep 'em coming and we'll check them each month. I'll keep a running total in the Pages of who received what. Welcome to Target Practice! Happy Hunting!
