I am new to the idea of chanellling. I am not sure whether it means
connecting with the spirit in general or if it specifically means
working through particular spirits. My interest comes from the fact
that I am connected to the weather, I am connected to the spirit and
other living people and world events work in synchronicity with events
in my life. Do you have a way of understanding these phenomena?

"Channelling in its simplest terms simply means that you are bringing
through energy from another source. this could be another realm, any
realm, such as the plant kingdom, the crystal/stone kingdom, the
astral realms, the realms of the higher dimensions where the ascended
masters are vibrationally held at, and so on.
It is possible to connect to and 'channel' from anything in the
universe.
the channelling of energy can take the form of channelling subtle
vibrations of energy, or it may take the form of channelling energy
which exists more on the mental plane, and can therefore be translated
into the receivers minds as words, ideas, illuminations & concepts.
Some people are clearer channels than others because they are more
easily able to enter into states of consciousness where their 'ego'
does not interfere with the content of the energy being channelled and
allows it to flow unimpeded. this is because either their ego has
evolved enough to allow the unimpeded flow, or because that person has
learnt how to go into altered states of consciousness that temporarily
bypass the ego, and gain the information directly.
It is possible therefore to connect specifically to certain phenomena
in the universe, as all things have a consciousness, such as weather
or the sun, and ask it if it has anything to teach you which would be
useful right now. great beings such as the sun, have very high states
of consciousness and can give profound teachings to those who would
hear.
being in synchonicity with the universe shows an egoic state which has
learnt to flow in harmony with the spirit connected with all things
