teeth whitening gel usage

Teeth whitening gel usage help and advice :

Teeth Whitening Gel usage and gel storage instructions:

( PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR DENTAL BLEACHING GEL IN THE FRIDGE OR A COOL PLACE )

Step1 )
Brush and clean your teeth

Step 2)
Make your teeth whitening trays as per our instructions enclosed, or see happysmileuk.com for more details...under the tray
advice link, or use your own trays which the dentist made for you.

Step 3) Teeth Whitening Gel usage instructions:
Simply apply a small dose of gel to the inside of the mouth trays, just enough gel so that it does not leak out of the trays,
less gel is better than too much.

Wear the teeth whitening mouth trays containg the bleaching gel for upto:
1 st day of teeth whitening treatment > 10 mins
2 nd day of teeth whitening treatment > 20 mins
3 rd day of teeth whitening treatment > 30 mins
3 rd day to 14 days of whitening treatment > 30 mins

You can build up the wear time slowly, never rush the process, it is better take things easy.
You can bleach for upto 30 mins a day for upto 14 days. You do not need to bleach every day as you can have breaks
between treatments. After a teeth whitening treatment do not smoke, eat or drink wine, coffee, tea, etc... but you can drink
water. Bleaching your teeth last thing at night whilst reading a book or watching TV is a good idea. When you bleach
your teeth, you will see a foam forming and you get lots of extra (spit), yes it does seem abit messy ! This is because the
peroxide is working and creating alot of oxygen whilst deep cleaning your teeth, Simply spit any excess spit into a bowl,
try not to swallow it, although it does not harm you, its' best to avoid swallowing it..

Step 4)
Once you have done your bleaching treatment then simply brush and clean your teeth.

Step 5)
If you have purchased the “Laser blue light”, simply hold the light over your teeth for around 20 mins (after you have
finished Step 4 AND have brushed and cleaned your teeth. ( The reason you don't' need to use the light over the gel is
because the gel is still active in the tooth enamel, even though there is no gel on the surface of your teeth after cleaning.)

Preventing teeth whitening Sensitivity:

Most people due not get any problems with sensitivity, some people can do if they over bleach or sleep wearing trays, to
prevent this, it is best to use Sensodyne toothpaste available from any chemist shop or supermarket. Sensitivity is only
temporary and although it can be uncomfortable it is not long lasting, but if you do get it, then you should stop treatment
and have a break and continue treatment only if the sensitivity has stopped, but you should talk to your dentist before
continuing.,Do not over bleach for long periods of time, its better to use the product for less time over a longer time than
to rush treatment. Sleeping wearing your trays is not a good idea and is best avoided, bleaching for upto 30 mins a time
over a longer period of time is best. There is no exact science to tooth bleaching as it is all about finding what works
best for you, if your happy to bleach for upto 30 mins and don't get any sensitivity then this is OK, but if your only happy
to bleach for upto 15 mins per whitening treatment then this is OK too.

Do not over bleach your teeth and do use sensodyne toothpaste during your whitening treatment which is available from most chemists and supermarkets. ( You only need to bleach teeth for upto 30 mins at any one time, and when you first use any type of dental bleach then you should just start wearing trays for 10 mins etc, so that you can see that your OK and that you do not get sensitivity, it is always best to bleach for less time, over a longer period of time than to rush the process, whitening your teeth can take a few weeks to see the results, please don't rush your treatment ! .)

Bleaching one set of teeth at a time will also help you compare the difference. If you need further advice always
