Subject: SHROPSHIRE-HEALTH-4-AFRICA & EX-VTSers
Hello All,

I know its 2 years (Gosh) since I fell off the VTS but hopefully a few
of the oldies might still remember me.

Its been a mad couple of years.  After VTS I did the Liverpool DTM&H
followed by some months in Eastern Chad with Medecins-Sans-Frontieres,
and then some General Practice in London- from Southall aka
Afghamistan and Somalia to Kensington and Chesea aka Ambassador and
Cabinet Minister-city.

Anyway, I've got some excellent news. My vision for a Shropshire
Medical Charity has become a reality and last Thursday "The Africa
Project" became a UK Registered Charity number 1124253.

See our entry in the CC Register
http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/registeredcharities/showcharity....

SO please have a look at our website http://www.shapeafrica.org.uk

All we need now is £20,000 quid and One whole town in Wuchale-Jidda in
rural Ethiopia should be getting some high quality medical resources
(and hopefully medical care) within the next twelve months! Saving
lives from Malaria Diarrhoea, pneumonia and Malnutrition six thousand
miles away.

So please support us, and get your thinking caps on and (Dr Jim, Dr
Michael) your wallets out (Bill)!!!!
We're planning an official launch in September and will get the
Shropshire star, and local radio along.

I'm off again to Ethiopia for two weeks in July so I'm all excited,
again!

See you soon

Lots of Love
Neil
PS Charlotte congratulations on your GP Partnership. I knew someone
would snaffle you up!!
