My grandfather married twice. His first marriage resulted in a great grandson, Adrian. His second marriage resulted in a grandson, me (Bobby).
Albert married Elizabeth and produced Gertrude who produced Geoffrey who produced Adrian. Albert later married Louisa and produced Victor who produce Bobby
What relation am I to Adrian bearing in mind we have different great-grandmother (Adrian) and grandmother (me)?

Half (or "step") first cousins, once removed? In other words, you would be half-first cousin to Geoffrey; your relationship to Adrian is once removed from Geoffrey.
Some might simplify this as "half second cousins".

Half (or "step") first cousins, once removed? In other words, you would be half-first cousin to Geoffrey; your relationship to Adrian is one generation removed from Geoffrey.
Some might simplify this as "half second cousins".

Half first cousin is correct. Step would mean something entirely different.

New ISP, and sometimes I get an error message after sending a post to the newsgroup ... tonight I re-sent the post, received another error message, etc., only to see all three attempts posted successfully. A bit mystifying and hopefully, I'll sort it out.

You and Adrian are first cousins of the half blood once removed.

Thank you kindly to those who replied. You are most helpful.
Yes, you would be first half-cousins once removed, I think.
Just to distinguish between "half" and "step", my half-brother David married Julie who had two children from a previous marriage. My children and I went to visit them many years ago when they were little. They enjoyed playing with their first half-step-cousins. One of Julie's children is now married with a child so that makes that child a first half-step-cousin once removed to my children. I think you now deserve a strong cup of tea.

Hi
Glad I'm doing Genealogy now. What a thing to sort out in another 50/100 years time.
