  Hi, Someone on the Glamorgan group is trying to help an ex-pat identify a church from two (old) photographs. There are indications it may be in west Wales, north Wales or possibly Yorkshire. [link]

  In 1831 in London it was estimated that there were at least 800 medical students each requiring at least three bodies for their anatomical studies for dissection. Old Bailey sessions 1766 
  Back about 1991-93 I visited the Greater London Public Records Office and pored over the indictment slips for the Old Bailey for the quarter that included February 1766. The slips were all on preprinted forms measuring about 4 by 7 inches and were held together with a cord threaded through a hole drilled through corner of the slips. FreeBMD Death Search 
  Can anyone tell me if there's a way to perform a search for someone's death in FreeBMD when you know their d.o.b but not their age at death? I'm sure I must be a bit slow on the uptake here but there must be an easier way than enumerating every person with the relevant name and then calculating their d.o.b from the age-at-death (when available of course)... more »
