This sounds very much like a similar propblem others have had with
sloppy:

Can you provide any more information (screen shots, details from the
About box, what kind of server you're connecting to and what
authenticaiton it uses.... anything and all is of use).

I need to create an issue on this (http://code.google.com/p/sloppy/
issues/list) that I can reproduce and then fix it.

I don't think there's a quick fix for this one :-(
