Cleared the cache with no change. Deleted the old executables and now
the .jlnp runs as expected -- before it launched the old saved as
standalone executables instead.Created a new shortcut and all is good.

I've just tried it under 10.6.1 and I didn't see an error.

I do note, though, that my Library/Caches structure is very different.
E.g., I have /Users/richard/Library/Caches/ Java/cache/6.0/

You can delete/view your caches via Applications/Utilities/Java
Preferences (Network tab). Perhaps that is worth a try?

Is Sloppy busted on Snow Leopard? I'm getting the following error:

CouldNotLoadArgumentException[ Could not load file/URL specified:

Unfortunately Sloppy does mess with the HTTP request it passes on to
the real server. As such, it's built just for HTTP.

Having looked a the code -- and SlowProxyThread.java [1] in particular
-- we only do HTTP, but I don't see why we can't detect that you're
asking for non-HTTP and just do a bottlenecked-pass through of that

There are a couple of things going on here.
First off, it looks like youtube.com are redirecting to a different
server. E.g., when I ask for [link]
I'm really redirected to [link]
Sloppy doesn't assume that the server you're redirecting to the same

Maybe I'm dumb, broken, or both, but this doesn't seem to work for me.
My browser was already running, and this just opened a new tab. I went
to YouTube with a 9.6K connection, speed was clearly regular rate.
Hmm. Success from others?

Yup, that's still in there. I didn't think it'd be ever used again,

On the Mac if you download that file you can start Sloppy like this
from Terminal:

Hi ,

I haveinstalled java and then sloppy for checking my site, I am able
to enter mysite addrees and then click on GO, after that it is showing
me authntication request but i am not able to enter the information

Simulating slow network connections (i.e. bandwidth) is great - but
what about latency?

Would be great if I could specify a delay (connect time) for each
request to simulate latency in addition to the data transmission
rate. This would be especially useful for web 2.0 apps, where clients
may have a fast connection, but are located half way around the globe.

Hi there - I've finally managed to test out Sloppy + file uploads.
What I did was create a simple file upload web site that accepts an
image file, uploads it, then then shows the image back to me. I've
tried
uploading small and large (> 3MB) jpeg files and I'm sorry to say "it
worked for me" :-/
