Re: Paragliding holiday abraod - advice - Further south

chris canata <c_can...@hotmail.com>

Guys, thanks for all the replies regarding the holiday options.

To be honest, I have done a lot of flying in the chamonix area, annecy, southern france and the weather in April can be more than fickle!

Does anyone have any experence of further afield such as greece, spain, canaries etc

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Chris, what you have described pretty much sums up my experience of time spent with ruth and ulric in the alpes maritime. Early march/april the weather hasn' always been ideal but it improves as the season progresses and late april should be ideal. You probably know more about that than me! Anyway, highly recommended.

Subject: [LLSC] Paragliding holiday abraod - advice

To all, I hope someone can help me out here!

Would anyone be able to advise on the following paragliding holiday probably for the last week in April?
In general, I am looking for:

Preferably flexible dates of arrival (maybe a friday coming back 9 days later on a sunday) but a week would suffice
Somewhere with a very good chance of sun and a bit of heat which is badly needed - I thought malaga or tenerife if still flyable?
Ideally, I am looking for a place to stay (self catered is fine), some paragliding company, general retrives and maybe a pointer of where to go etc
I am not particularly interested in paying for a "guided" holiday on the basis of cost, politics and the fact that I may just go biking or something for a few days as well
As a less attractive alternative, I also considered getting a cheap flight to Tenerife (if still flyable), innsbruck or malaga in spain - hiring a car, taking a tent/ B+B's and spending 9 days or so on tour

Any comments, suggestions or feedback more than welcome!
All my thanks in advance
Chris
