You've probably seen Martin's email about a MySQL Performance Tuning online seminar. Martin's actually exchanged a couple of emails with the presenter, Jay Pipes. Jay is the former Community Relations Manager for the MySQL Community Team and is now a staff engineer on theDrizzle project in the Sun CTO organization. (http://jpipes.com/index.php)<http://jpipes.com/index.php>
Jay Pipes has offered to give his the MySQL presentation to the Scottish CFUG.
So... I have 2 questions....
The first question is : Do you want me to arrange this meeting? The second question is: If I do arrange this meeting, would you prefer it to be at say 2pm through your working day or at 8pm at night?

Excellent! Thanks for the quick response Ant. Everyone I'm going to be pestering the folks at work. I know that I'll be able to get at least one person attending. Please tell friends and colleagues about the possibility of this meeting. If you get any interest in attending and time of attendance, let me know either on the group or directly.

Interesting fact for you Andy: the term honeymoon comes from ancient times when the father of the bride had to give the groom one months (a moon cycle in old times) supply of beer (made from honey). Enjoy! :-)
