Hi Folks,

I could do with some advice for an admin form here. The input is fairly
straight-forward, the user needs to select a doctor from a list of several
hundred.

Normally, I would just use a <select>, as this means I can pass the doctorID
field as the value.

However, the client has specifically requested that they start typing the

Bit of a long-shot this one (and nowt to do with CF), but has anyone implemented Oracle Streams?? Having a few issues and there really very little in the way of helpful documentation anywhere.

Has anyone upgraded to CF9 yet?
If so, did you buy from Adobe.com, an online store like Amazon,
through a reseller like Fuzzy Orange, or did you have maintenance?
Does everyone know you can get maintenance with ColdFusion?
Maintenance comes in two forms:
2 year Maintenance
Platinum support (annual)
Both entitle you to free upgrades during the maintenance period.

CF Hands on Workshop

Would anyone be interested in a hands on workshop covering CF9?
Basically a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL).
No 1 hour sessions, I'm talking at least a full day of working on some
of the new CF9 features.
This would most likely be in Glasgow or Edinburgh. If there's enough
interest in Aberdeen (I'd need a minimum of 7 people) then we can also

I asked a few weeks ago if anyone had seen a coldfusion database query tool.
I found a plugin for ExtJS which basically creates the WHERE statement from
the choices you make (CherryExt). I've ported the backend code to Coldfusion

storing a query in the Application scope ...is this a bad thing?

Bottom line - I have a simple "select all" query that returns about 30
rows of simple data and doesn't really change very often.
However ...it does this by pulling the results from other queries that
read data from different XML datasets and joining them together into a
more useful object.
This query gets called a LOT - and I mean a LOT - so to improve
