Cool work on the .NET stuff as expected but I still can't help feeling that Java calling .NET just seems wrong, I have said it before and I will again... Why on earth don't they just release a ColdFusion for .NET as New Atlanta did with BD? I don't buy the whole "no-one has asked for it as if there was no demand they wouldn't have built the .NET integration!
I would prefer native .NET support with ColdFusion as a certified language.

Exactly ... we used to have this back in CF5 days but it got binned when MX came out.

I presume this means we can get access to cfadmin in shared hosting? Something cf has needed for a while....

aaah let me just nip this one in the bud, and state that they DO NOT integrate with .NET at all. They use a bridge, and still require a JVM to be installed on the .NET machine. This simply won't wash in 90% of all Microsoft shops, irrespective of what hype they try to spin on this.
If you want to run your CFML in a true .NET environment, then BlueDragon is still your ONLY choice!

Yep, which is my fecking beef! NA/BD produced a cracking coup with BD.NET nay, it's total genius and it deserves the plaudits. Amazing to think that in all reality it was a "J# my Java" kinda move (ok it was over simplified) but please Adobe... Wake up here!
I am in such a position where the "why do we have CF/J2EE" in the mix when our global company policy is Microsoft.... BD is just screaming... Take me to bed and drill me like the good looking lass you wanted at school but were too dorky to ask out...

i can't tell you how much i am looking forward to meeting you now!!!
And to add, our company is not small in people or revenue, we made a $1 billion dollars last year and we spend a lot on R&D, the fact we are using ColdFusion at all is a miracle considering everything else is Microsoft (not all .NET) - sure, the scripting technology we use for our CMS extensions is CFML as it's best fit, .NET didn't cut it in that department but it could easily be .NET based CFML as it's, I think, certified as a .NET compliant language now? It allows us to keep our code, more or less and still code CFML just everyones happy we giving Bill a BJ.
