Does anybody use the <cfpresentation> tag?
I wondered if it might be useful for all those university people who
use e-Learning?
.... just toying with a few ideas...

Cheers
Martin

We don't use it for any of our presentations in the University,
primarily because we don't have CF8 :-)

I'm thinking of using it for a few internal presentations but it would
be on my laptop.

Andy kindly gave me some example code from his talk to the Aberdeen
group though. Don't know if that's of any use to you?

Cheers,
James

Blimey - I thought all the Uni folk would be jumping at the free
upgrade to CF8 - especially if you could set up a template for staff
to produce their own presentations.
I am looking at the CF8 CFWACK vol2 chapter just now and I have one
very simple example using <cfpresentation> but if you have more I'd be
glad to see it.

Cheers
Martin

Free Upgrade isn't for production use :-). Anyway we're public sector,
things don't happen over night here, we only just upgraded to 7 from 5
last May but CF8 is in the pipeline "at some point".

I'll drop you a copy of it off list. If anybody else wants it let me
know ;-)

Cheers,
James

not for production use :-O... that is a bummer! So there's really not
much difference to the Developer version then ... or am I missing
something.

No it's the Enterprise version so it's everything out the box for use in
"Education". In other words a classroom environment.

It's not for us IT Services lot who want some freebie copies to slap on
our production servers. Shame :-(

Still it at least means we can install it on our Development and Test
Servers in preparation for upgrade which is a bonus we never had before.
So not all bad news. We've also got some copies of Flex Builder from the
scheme as well but that's a political nightmare...long story!

Anyway I've sent the news over to the Lead Systems at the School of
Computing and he seems chuffed to bits so we'll see what happens now ;-)

CFPresentation rocks the house!!!

Initially I thought it was a pointless tag, (and yes it still has
flaws) but it does some awesome stuff.
