Subject: Re: [sangkancil] Veteran journalist MGG Pillai dies
I came to Malaysia in 1997 as a starry-eyed westerner thinking
we had freedom of the press back home. Someone introduced
me to sangkancil. I have never looked back since.
MGG was always like a father figure giving you guidance
when goings-on were hard to understand.
What a great loss for Malaysia. Who will fill the
place of this giant?
