This is the article, published on 16 January 2008, that resulted in Malaysia Today getting blocked. However, it seems it is not the article but the 172 comments from readers below that article that was the brunt of the government action. Maybe now you readers will be careful with what you post lest, again, we suffer the same fate. You readers will have to be more responsible with what you post to avoid future action by the government.

there are proxy servers that can be made to access the website laaaa
and these idiots think they can just ban the dns so that no malaysians can

As you all know by now, the knuckleheads in Malaysia have blocked Malaysia-Today's website [link]. Those outside of Malaysia are of course not affected; we can still access it, for not so for our folks back home who are at the mercy of local ISP bullies.
However, you cannot suppress people's ingenuity or determination. Those at home could still access Malaysia-Today via its alternate website. [link]

Syed Botak, where in the world you read law, your claim that Malaysia Today is in breach of a crime is absurd, which court of law gave the order saying Malaysia Today had committed crime or breached MCMC's law. Everyone is subject to law, we know that; and you fail to understand that an offense should be duly reported and must be taken to court to prove it, otherwise it's just hearsay. You cannot take preventive measures to block a legal business entity based on hearsay, the repercusion will be bad. Now you and the govt have put Malaysia under tremendous pressure from the international arena. Globaly nobody will show interest to invest in Malaysia knowing that Malaysian govt practice censorship, violating its own agreement to not censor the flow of information in the net. Why need all the logic and terrible burden of explaining to just say God doesn't exist, if that is the truth, nothing else but the truth? God just dont exist and never had been.....its paranoia, by humans themself......

This is utter nonsense by the BN Govt & Co. MCMC have no right under whatever law to block access legitimate institution on the net. SHAME on MCMC who supposed to guide is unethical in their move to block websites. This is unbecoming our our Govt & Co. We urgently need a new Pakatan Rakyat Govt. to save us from all this rubbish. It is in the rakyats hand.....
