I created a program for poor students in Malaysia some time ago and have been using my own cash reserve from my savings to run this program. Of late I receive more and more appeals for help, be it education or welfare. My cash reserve could not sustain anymore so I decided to solicit online help. My message was picked up by many who show keen interest to join me to help poor deserving students and those in poverty, in dire need of funds to carry on living a decent life.
My message was picked up by one Mr Punnudurai 84 yeras old a retired principal who live in Petaling Jaya, came visiting me, after a brief chat, he gave RM120.00 to start the ball rolling.
I have posted a message in FaceBook under Causes so that people around the globe can donate for the cause to help deserving students who have gained entry into Colleges
& Universities but could not pay their tuition fees due to their poor
background. Poverty should not hinder a student from graduating and
serve human kind.
I am straight forward and will not allow bureaucracy to infiltrate and block disbursement. I will try my best to help those in need with whatever amount I have in hand to alleviate their problems.
Right now I am handling a few causes :
1. Saroja - a brain tumor patient living in Puchong : Adviced and helped to get her surgery cost in UHKL to be waived. I have given her RM250.00 in cash. Posted a distress message online, talked to Bro. Vell Pari of MIC who sent MIC Youth Selangor to help her leading to her cause being broadcast in Astro Channel 502 Tamil News and flashed in Malaysia Nanban. MIC is trying to raise her welfare from RM100.00 to RM300.00 and this cause is still ongoing.

So far only 2 person, one Ms Shanthy from Johor sent RM50.00 and Mr Rashiya from Cheras sent RM500.00 through bank account provided. Her public donation stands at RM800.00 and disbursed. 2. Partheeban Panchadcharam- a Sri Lankan Tamil studying in APIIT - his father could not pay his tuition fees for the second year due to his mother being diagnosed for tumor over the breast and undergone surgery. We managed to raise RM365.00 and I add my fund RM500.00 to pay his Visa extension and over due college payment with rental. He needs further RM5,000.00 for level 2. Donation drive is ongoing. I am planning to open a charity fund soon so that I can help more people with the donation. For that to materialize I need to properly register and maintain an account transparent to the public. I need some time to organize, right now I cannot sit idle when the public approach me for help, I have a big heart but very small account, I am spending my savings to help others .... hope people out there understand and give me a hand....charity starts at home...to those who could not assist , its ok but don't block my way and post negative remarks and stop others from helping the poor. I sincerely hope our Indian community is generous enough to help me in building a foundation that helps all poor & underprivileged Indians in this country. I hate to see our deserving Indian children stop studying or not studying just because they can't afford it. I will work tirelessly towards that end to ease the burden of the poor Indians with the help of the general public.

I think it is high time for you to setup a charity fund and divert the amount to those in need, if everyone is going to provide their personal account number to bank in, in time to come MIClub will have full of mails asking for donation or help, In fact I also can provide my personal details and ask for help, but at the who is monitoring the flow and the process of the money banked in, it is still a misery,

After reading this distress message I visited Partheeban at his rented apartment in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur to verify his claims.
I found that he is living with his fellow Sri Lankan Tamil college mates, all five of them sharing this 2 room apartment. He came to study at Asia Pacific Intitute of Innovation Technology (APIIT) at Technolgy Park, Bukit Jalil, KL, walking distance from his apartment. He is currently studying Computer Science majoring in Software Engineering. His studies were funded by his father who is a school principal in Jafna, Sri Lanka and he has another sibling doing his A levels and a sister in secondary education back in Sri Lanka.
Due to unfortunate circumstances his mother fall ill and diagnosed to with tumor over the breast, a surgery was done 2 weeks ago and she is recuperating well. His father had to use the money saved for Partheeban's studies for the surgery thus run out of fund. He could not send Partheeban's Level 2 tuition fees even in part. Partheeban student visa expires on Nov 5, 2009. We managed to collect some urgent fund to pay his over due semester fees with penalty but could not come up with the balance tuition fees amounting to about RM5,000/- for him to continue with level 2 thereafter. He is in a dilemma now.
Though his visa doesn't permit to work, he tried working at night but was short changed, salary was not paid in full. He is looking for some database management job from home to cover his needs for now as he knows he can't be running on charity for long. He is willing to work at night and weekdays to cover his expenses and save money for his studies.
Meanwhile, I humbly appeal to online members to lend support for a worthy cause to help an individual to complete his studies. Herewith I append details for your kind perusal.
