Rendertag as default standard field text

I didnt know that you can actually insert a rendertag as the default
text for standard field. It only works if that same rendertag already
exists on the page (I think).

Here is a sample showing how this can work The same rendertag shown
below is what is entered into the textbox which defines the default

Daniel, I found that files. I will try to use it.

Henry, what I find out, is that my installation of LS 4.0 ( build
4.0.0.8) in not complete somehow. It looks like I installed LS with
standard option, but location support describe, where files should be

I don't use a proxy, automatic or otherwise, and I still see the issue.

Still got a ticket open with OT, but yesterday I switched off my
automatic proxy detection in IE and it stopped failing. Will try
again today and see if it is related to the proxy.

Thats pretty outrageous that support could not point you to the file.

Its here rdls-basic-x.x.x.x.jar\de\redd ot\liveserver\inlinefunction under
tomcat\webapps\cps\WEB-INF\lib . Just copy rdls-basic-x.x.x.x.jar to your
path so javac can find it.

rdls-basic-x.x.x.x.jar corresponds to whatever version you are running.

Hello MarK,

on LiveServer is a file rde.jar in the WEB-INF/lib directory of your
OT Delievery Server installation. This contains the class file you
mentioned.

Hello,

I'm looking for a examples or suggestion how can I extend build-in
java classes with my own class, that I want use as an inline function
in dynaments. I read about it in documentation, I prepared also code
for this class, which looks like this(example e-mail validation):

How do I reproduce part of a menu (a partial menu) using the RedDot Navigation Manager?

I would like to have a menu on certain pages of our site that only
displays a portion of the entire menu. Specifically, I would like to
display all the child pages/nodes of a particular page/list. Using the
navigation areas I have narrowed the display down to the correct
level, but I am getting the pages on that particular level regardless

This might be messy..

However you might get around the publishing issue if the content was
managed within a 'page part' that is connected to a container within a
foundation page. The CMS wont publish content within a container
unless the foundation page has been released... however if the
foundation page is in draft mode, you will have problems enabling

Came across this problem for the first time the other day...

So hard to replicate the issue since it only happens intermittently...

Lets hope that it is a straight forward fix!

When I contacted OpenText on the issue, they hadn't received any other
reports of erratic SmartTree behavior. They seemed to think it was an
issue specific to our network, but I have my doubts since there are
others experiencing the same thing. If you haven't opened a support
ticket with OpenText yet, I'd suggest you do so they realize it isn't

Good to hear. We're looking to do the same thing (7.5->10). if 10.1 is
really coming soon though then we'll probably just wait for that.

Aside from some jquery scripts and nav manager, its about as vanilla a
project as it gets so i'm not anticipating any upgrade issues with the
project. (i probably just jinxed it though :\ )

I have to say I never had the problem with V9/V10 accessing the CMS on
the machine it was installed on or via a VPN, its only been using
remote desktop. Im sure RedDot must be, or should be aware of this
issue as quite a few people are encountering it.
