Inner Frequency finished in the top 20 of the southwestern region
based on online votes and was then selected as one of the top 4 from
the region by judges from Land Shark Lager and Rhapsody. They traveled
to Austin on October 9 for a live video taping on the stages at KLRU
studios where Austin City Limits is filmed. The tune "Satellite," from
their most recent CD Surge which was released earlier this year, can
be viewed on the voting site at www.landsharkrocks.com.
"We hope that fans in this region, especially in Dallas, will support
us and help us win this contest!" lead singer Cara Young exclaims. The
winning band will receive a prize package valued at $100,000,
including a full-page Land Shark Lager advertorial in Rolling Stone
magazine, a digital distribution deal with reapandsow, an updated
Rhapsody artist page and much more.
Inner Frequency was created in 2005 by Cara Young and Luke Carnevale
and began as an acoustic duo playing Dallas-area coffee houses and
open mic nights. The band has grown and evolved over the past four
years, with some line-up changes including the departure of co-
founding member Luke, and a larger electric-guitar based feel created
by producer/engineer Will Hunt and drummer Jon Mosig.
The band will be featured on Livin' the Dream Radio Show w/ Lucey
Knight (http://fishbowlradionetwork.com) on Thursday, November 19 from
1-3 pm CDT and will play an acoustic set at Jack's Backyard, 2303
Pittman Dallas, TX 75208, on November 20 for the "Rockin' Chicks"
night.
