As shameful as it was, he's received more media/radio/TV attention than any other music artist who has passed. Greater than Elvis Presley, too, or any Beatle.

That's the great thing about the Internet: it allows people to be as vicious and mean-spirited as they want to be without the slightest fear of getting their asses kicked.
I can well imagine the shit that would've been posted about Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Presley or Lennon had the Internet been around when they all died. Luckily, when Kurt Cobain committed suicide, we at least had Rush Limbaugh to piss all over the corpse.

If I posted about Kurt Cobain's death at the time, it would have been to say how angry I was with him for doing it? MJ was just basically an ugly person inside.
