Best buy is a multi billion dollar corporation and cd's are a small
ticket item (one of the smallest they sell). Shows and T-shirts
aren't really that much more of a big ticket purchase as opposed to a
cd, so its not like losing 3 bucks on your cd is gonna be made up for
by selling a ticket to a concert that probably is paying the artist 5
bucks a head before the managers and road crew take cuts. Selling cds
a loss leader works if you have a clothing line or are into acting or
whatever since its easier to generate buzz thought hiphop and throwing
some money at producers and a video in order to establish your name
and get your other ventures off the ground, but i donno about caking
off shirts and concert revenue while you pay have to pay off debt to
your record label
