We will be spending a couple of days in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Years ago,
I used to exchange some American dollars for Canadian at our local bank. I
would also use my credit cards in Canada and I'd get a good exchange rate.
Is this still true? I know credit card companies are scrounging for funds,
so I wonder if they screw you on the exchange rate. Another possibility is
to exchange American dollars for Canadian at a bank in Windsor (as opposed
to my local bank).
So, my question: is there a best way to do this to get the best return and
should I still use credit cards in Canada (I could just use cash if that
would work better). Also, what about exchanging funds in the Windsor Casino?
