Not empty stare, it's wide-aperture LSD microdose.

Yeah, the difference is that Joe Cada is a mouth breather. Remember your mother telling you "close your mouth, do you want to catch flies?" Apparently Cada's never said that.

Well, he is a mouth breather, but it looks to me like he has a Down's Syndrome--ish type of look. I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

just looks like he's had his nose broken a few times.

Mommy, why is that man different? Mommy why does that girl have a wheelchair? Mommy, why does Grandma have her teeth in a glass? Mommy why...?
Mommy, "Shut up and worry about yourself. And wipe that snot coming out of your nose."
Apparently a lot of mothers failed to give proper advice.

Entirely possible. Dwan is known to be a ganja lover and most of these young glassy eyed guys seem to like dropping acid now and then, too.
Even *if* Dwan is a great player and not just a 5th standard deviation deviation, I've wondered how he'll do in the future given his drug use while still so young as there is definitely a larger effect on mental ability when used during developmental years.
(Note: As another self-professed ganja lover, I never really used it until I was a full adult (over 30), and even at that I can see the effect on memory and mental faculties.)

Weed makes you dull. OTOH acid makes you cool...very cool. Man I wish I had some right now, so hard to find it these days.

You are probably overestimating what your memory and mental faculties would be like if you had never smoked pot. The evidence for long term harmful effects is lacking. Research today suggests it is wise to avoid the big three: inhalants, PCP/K, and Ecstasy. Beyond that, there are no good data supporting the types of things you suggest for any commonly ingested illegal drug.

Yeah, right. Is this like your evidence of man-made global warming? Even if I was on the fence about that, now that I read this pile of horseshit from you about the effects of weed, now I would surely be swayed to also think your global warming theory is probably equally stinky. How can you expect readers to respect your opinion when you throw crap like this at us? Don't you know anyone who has been smoking the weed for a long time? Get the fuck oudda here, Ruy. Your credibility has just plummeted.

If it took you that long to make a decision there may have been some impairment of mental faculties to start with.

Oh, and thank you for THIS advice! Hey everyone, Ruylopez says you'd be wise not to sniff paint and do PCP! Hey, that's a new one. I never thought of that before. Thanks, Ruy, sounds like good advice. Oh, and you say there's RESEARCH that supports that? Oh, well that's good. In case anyone demands that you put up or shut up, at least you can link them to some research. LOL Laughing my ass off at what a goofball RuyLopez has turned out to be. Hey, it's probably not a good idea to sniff spray paint and smoke angel dust. Wow, who woulda thunk it?

Proper advice?

The point is, many of the things you also reflexively think *are* bad for you, do not seem to be, based on research which has in fact been done. I'm saying that cocaine, LSD, heroin, meth, etc. have not been shown to do any long term damage to cognitive abilities or neuroanatomy. Since it is a common perception (as you model) that *all* such drugs have such effects, it is worth pointing out the three for which the data supports it.
Of course, any of these drugs can mess up your life by an addiction mechanism. But being addictive is not the same thing as being toxic.
You are now welcome to support your assertion that pot, for example, causes long term cognitive defects after cessation. Or that it causes any form of brain damage. Do you think nobody has ever looked at it seriously? There are at present no good data to support your assertion about pot, although I'm sure you'll be ready with plenty of that dubious stuff known as "anecdotal evidence".
Yes, I do know people who have smoked pot for a long time. Many of them were just idiots to begin with. Many of them are still under the effects of pot (and there is no question that smoking pot has *short-term* effects). Some of them, even, have quit and are still exceptionally smart. I bet you know some of that fit into the latter category yourself, Paul, whether or not you are aware of their status.

How about sticking your finger in the orifices of strangers and then . . . oh, never mind.

I have some Bose 501's actually...funny you should say that.
1 time in college my roommates and I listened to White Rabbit (I know Surrealistic Pillow not Bless...) over and over and over (and it was an LP, what a pain) for hours. Man I love acid...

I met a guy in rehab once. A kid, really. They called him Shaky Joe. He was exhibiting some fairly serious Parkinsons as a result of huffing. His memory seemed fine, though I doubt that was a consolation.

We were talking about weed. What's wrong, numb nuts, can't you remember what we were talking about only a half hour ago?
> Do you think nobody has ever looked at it seriously?
Don't talk down to me, college boy. I might have only gone through 8th grade but I assure you that I did not just fall off a truck that turned up.

You are wrong, as usual. I will NOT be ready with plenty of dubious "anecdotal evidence", because I can't remember it. And that's because of too many dubious.

I might tend to agree with your assessment of pot; however, I would like to see more support for your assertion that LSD, for example, has no long term negative effects after cessation.
Specific concentration on flash-backs, schizophrenia and severe depression would be appreciated.
